Complete with two outdoor swimming pools bordered by tumbling flowers, the excellent value Altinkaya is one of those places where you can feel totally relaxed in moments. Much of its charm is due to its wonderful location: tucked beneath the Besparmak Mountains, it is just over a kilometre from historic Bellapais and only three from Kyrenia centre. Comprising two distinct areas, each with its own outdoor pool and whitewashed twin-bedded studios and bungalows, the complex also has an indoor pool and small fitness centre. The restaurant, whose good quality cuisine often draws in the locals, is an added attraction. For those wishing to savour the holiday spirit, there are also occasional entertainment nights. The comfortable studios/bungalows feature mezzanine bedroom floors and open-plan ground floors, and all the rooms are well fitted with satellite TV, fridge, air-conditioning and a balcony or patio.
